Sample Workplace Violence Prevention and Weapons Policy It is the intent of (name of firm) to provide a workplace for our employees that is free from violence by establishing preventative measures and holding perpetrators of violence accountable. Violent actions on company property or while on company business, will not be tolerated or ignored. Any unlawful violent actions committed by employees of this company will be prosecuted as appropriate. (Name of firm) takes a no-tolerance position on workplace violence. All employees are responsible for reporting any incident of workplace violence. If the act or altercation constitutes an emergency situation (life threatening), all employees are empowered to call 911 or the local law enforcement agency. If the incident does not qualify as an emergency situation, the individual involved or who saw the situation must contact their immediate supervisor or other member of management as soon as possible. In accordance with this policy, no weapons are allowed on company property or in an employee's possession while on company business. The definition of weapon will coincide with the definition used by law enforcement agencies.
